Terms of service
Last updated August 20, 2026
These terms apply when you use this website or leave a dog with Penn Valley Paws. They sit alongside the booking policy. If something here does not match a written note from Emelie about your specific stay, that note wins for that stay.
The service
Penn Valley Paws is a home dog-sitting service run by Emelie Cambeiro in Penn Valley, Pennsylvania — day care, overnight boarding, and related add-ons such as medication and pickup. It is a private home, not a kennel or veterinary clinic. Capacity is small on purpose.
The website
Submitting a form is a request, not a confirmed reservation. We may decline a stay that is not a good fit for the household, for Violet, or for your dog. Published rates may change; the rate we confirm in writing is the rate for that stay.
Content on the site — copy, photographs, and the paw mark — belongs to Penn Valley Paws. Please do not reuse it without asking.
Meet and greet
Every new dog visits first. That visit is how we learn temperament, introduce Violet, and walk the house. We do not take a first stay without it. If the visit shows the fit is poor, we will say so rather than force a booking.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Give honest information about behavior, health, and medicine
- Keep emergency contacts reachable during the stay
- Supply food, medicine, and gear as listed on What to bring
- Confirm that your dog is in a condition suitable for a home with other dogs — we will talk this through at the meet and greet
- Pay the confirmed rate, including published late-pickup fees
Health and other animals
This is a household, not a clinic. Violet lives here. Other guests may be here at the same time. Dogs can play, scuffle, eat things they should not, and have ordinary accidents. You accept that home boarding carries those risks.
If your dog becomes ill or injured, we will try to reach you and, if needed, a veterinarian. You authorize reasonable emergency care and agree to cover the veterinary bill. We are not liable for outcomes beyond our own negligence.
Photographs
Unless you opt out in writing, you allow us to photograph your dog during a stay and to use those pictures on this website (for example the gallery). We will not sell the photos.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent Pennsylvania law allows, Penn Valley Paws and Emelie Cambeiro are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss beyond the fees you paid for the stay in question. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit, including for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts of Pennsylvania.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by posting a new version with a new date. For a stay already confirmed in writing, the terms in force at confirmation still apply to that stay unless we both agree otherwise.
